TIC is less than 100 kilometers away from Port of Salalah and its international airport, less than 200 kilometers away from the Yemeni border crossing, 900 kilometers away from the capital Muscat, 1,000 kilometers away from the Sohar Port and 600 kilometers away from the Port of Duqm. This means it only takes the imported and exported goods few hours to cross through the Omani ports and less than three hours to reach the Yemeni land port. Therefore, TIC has a comparative advantage that would enable it to make a good use of all Omani ports, making it an important manufacturing and logistics center for goods destined for the Republic of Yemen.
